Tand

Bio:

Tand is a collision of two musical worlds from the past smashing together to create a sum greater than their parts. The band was formed in South Florida in late 2018 and has since been hard at work perfecting their craft, and adding to the ever growing narrative that is their song book. Their mission is to bring listeners on a different musical journey each night, telling story through song weaved together by spontaneous bouts of improvisation. High energy, funky spirited party rock with heart and soul - don’t miss them.
Since October of 2018, they have shared the stage with national acts such as Perpetual Groove (twice), Spafford, Particle, The Roosevelt Collier Band, and The Heavy Pets, and made appearances at “Wanee Block Party” alongside The Marcus King Band, George Porter Jr., The North Mississippi All-Stars, and more, and Florida’s “Orange Blossom Jamboree” alongside many of the best bands in the state. They are currently hard at work on their first full length album, set to be released in late 2020.
The journey (swimming them to) Tand started sometime in 2013 during a backyard jam between guitarist/vocalist Taylor Godsey and bassist Peter Krause that led to the formation of their first project, Sawgrass Express. When SGE split in 2016, Taylor was introduced to keyboardist Daryl Wolff and drummer Ali Nassar who would go on to form another local rock outfit, Fugu. In late 2017, Peter and Taylor got news that they had lost their close friend and principal songwriter/singer/guitarist of Sawgrass, Tripp Gray. The loss brought them back together musically, and soon after the vision became clear: combine the worlds SGE and Fugu to form Tand.
