The Funky Nuggets

The Funky Nuggets were formed in early 2010, stemming out of Palm Beach, FL. This is a band that not only has traditional lyrical rock/funk songs but dance party instrumentals as well. With the help of their very loyal and daily growing fan-base, they have gained much respect and recognition in the Florida music scene in a short amount of time. With their eclectic backgrounds, youthful energy and purveyance of love for their art, they have become an enticingly interesting formula. Listeners are enthralled by their passion and ability, while left fiending for more of The Funky Nuggets.

T.F.N have acted as direct support for Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and guitarist for the legendary rock band The Doors, Robby Krieger as well as Grammy Award Winning artist Cyril Neville, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, Tea Leaf Green, The Heavy Pets, & Consider the Source just to name a few. The Nuggets have also played all over their home state of Florida at such venues as the famous Suwanee Music Park (Suwanee County), Tobacco Road (Miami), The Culture Room (Ft. Lauderdale), The Funky Biscuit (Boca Raton), The Green Room (Ft. Lauderdale), Dunedin Brewery (Dunedin), Guanabanas (Jupiter), Debauchery (Melbourne), 1904 (Jacksonville) The Jam (Gainesville) and The Crowbar (Tampa) among many more.

No Strangers to a festival bill, The Funky Nuggets have taken the stage at Aura Music and Arts Festival (2011/2013), Groove Music Festival (2014), Orange Blossom Jamboree (2012/2013/2014), Suwanee Flood Jam (2012), B.E Easy Music Festival (2012/2013), Earthdance (2012/2013), as well as headlining all of the FYN Festivals since 2011. In December of 2011 they won a national poll contest for a spot on Aura Music Festival 2012, against regionally touring acts from all over the country. April of 2013 they headed out for their first Colorado tour that was completely booked and headed solely by T.F.N. They hit Quixtoes True Blue (Denver), The Buffalo Rose (Golden), The Sink (Boulder) and Snachos Broken Arrow (Denver).

T.F.N has a unique sound some would refer to as Funk-Fusion meets Jamtronica and are VERY improvisational in their live shows. Feeding off the energy of the crowd and falling into extended improvisational jams, they never play a song exactly the same. Thus keeping every T.F.N experience unique and very “in the moment.” They've shown to be gaining great momentum in the Florida music scene and with no signs of slowing down. The future looks to be very bright for The Funky Nuggets.
